Exceeded expectations so far!! I don't know a lot about computers, but I can tell you that this one exceeded all of my expectations. First off, it arrived a day before it was scheduled to, so that was a very nice surprise. Secondly, the set up was ridiculously easy to do, and it was easy to customize to whatever I wanted. Thirdly, it's been fantastic for school because it starts up easily, has an amazing battery life, and has all of the programs I need to efficiently work on my 100% online school. would definitely buy this computer again, and would recommend it 100x over.
So this is the least that I've ever spent on a laptop that is not a Chromebook. My last laptop was a gaming laptop that I upgraded with a new 120Hz screen, doubled the RAM, and added a 2nd drive. At the end of that process, I just didn't game much. So I wanted to ditch the weight and size and get something like my old Macbook Pro Retina size-wise. This laptop is almost exactly the same footprint at about the same weight. There is no way that I'm going to spend $1k for another laptop (for Apple) so I began to look. At some point, I was considering how low or how little could I spend. I got this on sale for "almost nothing". And it's awesome. The processor plenty fast and I used an extra 8GB RAM that I had to increase it to 12GB. The low resolution screen is not a big deal in my book (specs are wrong on this listing) and I'm using an external 34" monitor with it. One note, the actual speed of the RAM is 2666 and not 2400. I was able to mix two different speed RAM modules. There is a free 2.5" slot for an upgrade. So far I've used it to stream 1080p HD videos and attend online webinars and no hesitation/no performance issues at all. There is not much bloatware installed either, easily removed (less than 6). Very seamless to switch out of Windows S which is a requirement if you use Google Chrome which of course everyone does - laptop prompts you to switch when it detects your trying to install a application. My next upgrade will be to swap for a 500GB M.2 NVMEe SSD. I also like the basic black look, it's the anti-Macbook. Now to see if it lasts. So I will point out if you game (which I do and did not), do not buy this laptop. In general, you need a dedicated GPU.
I like the computer but I do not like Windows 10 S. What they don't tell you is that you cannot load drivers for your printer so you can print documents from your computer. You have to load Windows 10 Pro and when you do you can not go back to using Windows 10 S therefore losing some of the advantages of Windows S such as security, speed and several other amenities.
