★★★★★ I wanted to have a second power supply for my HP notebook. I found this product and supplier. The web page is practical and supplies everything I needed to make the right purchase. It said to look at the spec's on the bottom of my notebook to assure the right power requirements. Also, the power supply that came with the notebook gave me the rest of the info. These considerations are absolutely necessary to buy the right supply. So, I knew I needed a 45 Watt unit from the original power supply. Then, the notebook spec's gave me the rest (19.5 volts, 2.31 amps.). The giveaway info that sealed the deal was reading that the right power supply had a plug with a blue tip! Perfect! The unit came nicely packaged with instructions. Now, I have a power supply for my 2nd floor workplace and a second unit for main floor portability and use. Study the Amazon web page and you'll know what you need.

It's an older laptop that usually has to be plugged in at all times. My daughter said hey battery now holds a charge again and seems to be working better with the new charger
★☆☆☆☆ DO NOT BUY!!! I knew better, yet I still made the purchase, I might've been in a rush at the time, I don't know, but now I need to get a new laptop. At the time, I checked the charger info and it showed to be compatible w.my HP.The VERY first time I plugged this in my laptop froze and I could only use the original charger (which was on its way out & needed to be replaced eventually, but still worked ... thought I was being proactive *welp*) while the laptop was completely shut down. Now after taking it to the Geek Squad, they confirmed the motherboard was fried by the BatteryMon charger & my laptop is absolutely useless, won't even turn on.Saving grace is that the vendor's customer service has been working with me and paid for me to have diagnostics run. Still, I need my laptop now and since I bought this charger, my work for the last several months has been effected.
