★☆☆☆☆ Do not buy this laptop via PROTECH. The upgrades they made are BAD. They changed the SSD hard disk to a bigger one, but it was used and not from a good manufacturer. I guess that it allows them to earn twice by reselling the good ASUS SSD and by selling the "upgraded" laptop for a so called good price. 3 months after I bought the laptop, the SSD disk died on me. Amazon services refused to let me return the laptop as more than 30 days has passed and they did not care I was in fact scammed. They told me to contact the vendor, they are sure he will help me, that I should not worry because the product is supported for life by Amazon. PROTECH did not respond to my mails, and Amazon blocked my CHAT box so I would stop to complain (I contacted 3 times their service requesting their help, always politely, but I guess it was to much for them). So, at the end I had no choice but repair the laptop at my own expense as the warranty was denied due to the "upgrade" of the SSD. GREAT LIFE SUPPORT!!!!!!
★★★☆☆ after a month of research and tech support, returned item. Could not get the microphone (internal or external) to pick up enough sound to be heard after recording (only faintly if turned up all the way).Otherwise, compared to previous laptops, processing speed was notably faster. Screen was duller/dimmer. Speakers were a bit hollow ( I often wondered if upgrading to Harmon Kardon really did anything -- now I know it does).I would get this again if it had a working mic. In this age of online communication, I needed a mic and this did not deliver.
