Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  We just needed a budget laptop for the meantime to get through school, and this laptop is inexpensive with a decent specs, so I bought it.The packaging was ok, the laptop was well protected with foams, although the box was thinner than most expensive laptops. Inside the box are the laptop, the charger, and user manual. The first thing I noticed is the form factor of this laptop. The shape is thick on the center yet thin and sharper on the edges like a wedge. The aluminum-like finish on this laptop is nice and looks premium, although the entire body is made of plastic, it is still sturdy. I like that there is an easy access panel for the storage at the bottom of the laptop, this will make it easy to upgrade the storage later if needed. Setting up the laptop is quick and easy, I was already running Office applications in just a few minutes. I did have some minor problems updating Windows, the updates keep on failing. I decided to reinstall Windows, and after that, the updates work perfectly fine. Multi-tasking office applications on this laptop is a breeze, I can open 3 different applications without any issues. I tried installing some casual games just to see how it performs. I was surprised it was able to run Asphalt 9 smoothly, although you cannot get high frame rates, but it works. Roblox and Minecraft works fine too, perfect for kids using this laptop. The specs say battery life is 9 hours, but in our real-world usage, it lasts around 5 to 6 hours, watching youtube videos, web browsing, and using some Office apps. I believe the 9 hours can still be reached on certain conditions. The display looks good, not the best out there, but it’s good for its price. The viewing angles are quite excellent as I can see clearly from the sides and top. If there is one thing that doesn’t impress me, it is the sound from the speakers. I can hear audio fine at close distance, but it sounds like it is coming from a hollow can, but audio sounds great though Bluetooth headphones, and for the price, can’t complain.I tried installing Linux (LinuxMint) on this laptop to see how it performs. All the hardware were detected fine in Linux. This laptop flies on a Linux system, everything feels so fast it’s like using a high-end laptop. In the long term, I think I’ll just keep Linux on this laptop as it performs so much better.Overall, this laptop performs exceptionally well considering its price. And it performs excellent running Linux systems. This laptop is perfect for students and office workers. If you’re on a tight budget, this laptop is highly recommendable.
Does not have 6 gigs of ram as indicated.Has only 3 as verified in Windows task manager.Ran a linux distro and it said only 3gigs ram. Also the ssd is really slow. All that being said,if you dump Windows 10 with a linux distro( a lightweight one like Lubuntu) and replace the ssd with a better one(Silicon Power for $23 is great); you will have a laptop that boots in 30 seconds and runs like the wind.It does have a great screen and is quite lightweight for a 14" laptop. So with linux installed on a different ssd,I'm going to keep it.
Bottom line: Let's get this straight, for the price don't expect a high-end gaming laptop, it doesn't have WIFI 6, nor Bluetooth 5 and/or the fastest SSD in the market. It is good for web surfing, Word, Excel, [insert other productivity software here] etc.I was surprised with the packaging, the screen came with a thin plastic cover, keyboard too., once opened I liked the way it looks, resembles a 2013-ish Apple laptop, display is crystal clear, touch panel is fast and responsive, once it was setup it took about 5-6 minutes to recognize the WIFI networks. I try updating Windows 10 and failed, Windows Update was disabled, not big trouble, turn it on and it started updating. The first recommended upgrade for this laptop is a better SSD, the one included is a little bit faster than a classic hard drive, just a little.Battery durability is jet to be tested.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I have budget friendly laptop to professional video editing towers and everything in between but sometimes these types of laptops are necessary for certain projects that is on a tight budget. So because we are using this for a security project, we needed a very basic laptop that had a network connectivity as well as Windows 10 Pro and this is working for our use.Obviously, this is not for playing high-end games that are heavy and graphics as it will lag and you probably won't be able to play it. But also, if you're a student or just need a simple but reliable laptop this is probably one of the least expensive options other than using chromebook. It has enough storage and memory for the price point and do feel it is a great student laptop as well as if you're only using it to browse the internet and do basic word processing 😊
