Pros: Nothing. Cons: Everything. Overall Review: I received not one, but two these XPS 9570 laptops from Dell and both of them were completely defective and inoperable. The first one had an issue with the battery discharging at an absurdly unexplained rate considering the workload I was tasking it with. These laptops are notorious for battery issues lately, so I accepted that I received a lemon and promptly returned it for replacement. After dealing with Dell's less than ideal customer service chain I was able to finally receive my replacement. This second one has had more issues than the first! Right out of the box it started having issues following a windows 10 update. I'm familiar that recent windows updates have been causing a lot of issues and so I took it upon myself to troubleshoot the issue. The computer went into an infinite boot loop which subsequently caused me to reset and reinstall windows 10. Okay, I thought any issues would be corrected following this, but NOPE. Since doing that, the laptop began to freeze and restart without warning. I assumed another operating system related issue. Again, spent 6-8 hours troubleshooting by manually updating all of the drivers, disabling automatic updates, and proceeding through system and memory checks. Initially it seemed ti have fixed the issue of freeze and restart; however, it still does it, but just less frequently. On top of that, is no longer charging while connected. Status "plugged in, not charging." This is absolutely absurd to receive not ONE but TWO $1700 laptops that are completely inoperable and that you have to go to this length to try to get it to work properly. I spoke with the XPS technical support line and they had no advice on how to truly fix any of the issues I've stated, and ultimately stated "if the problems continue, then it has to be a hardware issue." Again, I cannot fathom how Dell's supposed premier line of laptops is this poor right out of the box and has this many issues. Does Dell no longer have a quality control branch? I've trusted Dell for a long time as I type this on my 10 year old XPS laptop, but if you're considering buying from them at this point in time, I urge you to reconsider. I researched this line of laptop for almost a year now, compared it against the other leading ultrabooks, and eventually saved up enough money to grab one. I deeply regret it and should have cruised the online forums that I found after the fact when I was searching for help to the problems. Lastly, I strongly urge you to reconsider purchasing this laptop until they can sort their own mess out and properly generate functioning laptops.
Pros: good specs, decent weight, good battery, life and brand recognition Cons: ssd speed is not too much good
