It took more than 24-hours for this battery to play nicely with my old HP 250 G5 laptop (that had been sitting on the shelf with a totally dead battery for the past 2-years). Initial installation went well. However, Windows update went into an endless loop and the laptop announced hard drive failures when its hard drive password challenge was answered. We fought for a few hours with (many reboots - old battery. new battery, no battery: in / out, etc.) struggles. Diagnostics said hard drive was OK. Finally was able to get into BIOS and erase startup passwords. Things stabilized, was able update windows, cycle the battery "full to 0 to full charge" three times, etc. Both battery and laptop work fine now.
My original battery bit the dust. I went to the computer place by me for a replacement. They had one for $55.00, and it was not an HP battery. I looked on Amazon and found batteries for as little as $20.00 and as much as $75.00. I saw this one and it had great reviews so I ordered it. It works perfectly. I only paid $30.00 for this battery. I've had it a week. If it gives me problems down the line I will let you know
I followed the steps the fabricant suggested to calibrate the battery for a better experience. But for some reason, the battery doesn't even hold an hour and a half of charge. It charges fast, which is a good point. But it barely holds the charge less than two hours. For sure, I wasn't expecting that from a highly recommended replacement and of course, a new battery. I still think it has something to do with my laptop charger, but I've used replacement batteries before and so far, this one is the worst. I'm sorry 😕
