★★★★★ I purchased this less as a privacy screen and more as just some extra protection for the computer screen, as I've learned the hard way in the past how sometimes the lightest tap from something can crack it.In terms of privacy, even with the brightness level up it can be pretty hard to see the screen from either side so that seems to work pretty well if it's what you're looking for.In terms of protection, it does have a decent level of thickness to it so it's better than nothing and makes me feel a little more comfortable. It does slightly affect the brightness of the screen causing me to need to turn it up, but I assume that would be the case with most screen protectors/privacy screens.It's very easy to install, stays in place, no bubbles, and there was also a keyboard protector and trackpad protector included. The one for the trackpad just sticks on easily and the keyboard protector is one of the better ones I've tried. Other keyboard covers usually seem too thick and affect the ability to type quickly. This one is thin enough that I almost don't even notice it's there and can type normally.With the other options available, some of which seem pretty overpriced, I'm very satisfied with this purchase and to have gotten everything I needed (screen, keyboard and trackpad protector), in one package for a fairly reasonable price.
★★☆☆☆ I believed the reviews that this didn't effect screen brightness or quality, but that simply is not true. It is very hard to see at full brightness set and worst of all it has a blueish tint to it. I kept looking by another layer to peel on the outside, but no, it's just blue. As someone who works with photos and graphics a lot, this is unusable. If it just darkened the screen without changing the case, I could get over it. Changing my screen to blue is just not feasible for me. If colors don't matter, then this will be fine. Really disappointed as it was an expensive splurge for something that didn't work at all. Privacy filter kind of works, but I can still read the screen sitting in the position my seat mate would in an airplane, which was largely why I bought it. Really sad this didn't work!
★★★★★ I love it!! it is considerably thick. It does not bother if you have a case on your macbook. it closes completely so there is no weird space. I guess when the covid stuff finally dies down and people are able to do stuff with their macbook it is a great privacy screen. if you look left or right you see nothing. At times I thought my macbook went to sleep when i go for a quick bathroom break but it was on and I was looking at it from the side. I normally work in the dark which honestly shouldn't be doing because your eyes fatigue anyways it does work good holds off the blue light. its a plus that the actual screen has some protection too
