Had never used a Chromebook before so I purchased this renewed one because it was inexpensive and a great way to try the Android OS. For starter, although this is a renewed Chromebook, it looks, feels and works like new. It converts easily from laptop to tablet and especially when in tablet mode, it feels and act like an Android phone. It comes with Google play store, so I was able to download all apps that I have on my phone, including the Ring app and Microsoft Word. The Chromebook itself is light and it doesn’t get hot like my laptop used to do. It’s also quiet, not just because of the SSD but I don’t think there’s a fan installed. It has a micro-SD expansion slot, but the card sticks out some when installed. It doesn’t get on the way, but not sure why the slot was built that way. The included charger connects through a USB-C slot and it charges the Chromebook really fast.Overall, this is a good starter Chromebook and if you have an Android phone and have no problem navigating its system, you shouldn’t have any issues navigating through all this Chromebook. In my opinion, this is a great buy and I recommend it.
This HP Chromebook is low priced but well equipped with a Celeron (Intel) processor, two USB-C (5kb/s speed) connectors, good size, Full HD screen, flips over into a tablet with touch screen. You can pay more if want a faster Intel processor, but it works fine for us: we use for streaming movies, web surfing, email, but not heavy gaming use. I needed to buy a $5 adaptor to allow connection from one of the two provided USB-C connectors (upgraded, more modern, flippable) to accept my existing older HDMI TV connection cable. This is a sleek Chromebook that met most all of our needs working right out of the box...(Note: we were aware that all of these (and the more expensive laptops too) seem to come with Microsoft software loaded but only available after you buy a code). This is a very useful and frankly pretty product.
This chromebook is a great value. I wasn't expecting it to be as fast as it is. The touch screen works great and the keyboard feels really solid on it. The battery lasts at least 10 hours during use. I was so happy with this machine that I recommended it to my daughter, who bought one for herself. She primarily uses hers in tablet mode for her art design stuff and loves it. Oh, and the teal color is pretty cool looking. The only thing that I would improve would be to add an HDMI port to it, but that is far from a deal breaker.
