★★★☆☆ The cable lock is what I really bought this for as I already have a place to lock into. However if you are buying this for the cable lock AND anchor plate be advised that my anchor plate didn't have a 3M sticky pad on the back to affix it to the laptop. So to justify my rating of 3 stars... I gave the locks 5 stars and the Anchor plate 1 star. 5+1=6, 6 stars / 2 items = 3 stars rating.
★★★★★ These are standard locks for use with Kensington security slots common on most laptop computers and other peripheral electronics. The rubber coated security cable is a reasonable thickness for theft deterrent, but is flexible enough to allow the cable to be maneuvered as needed.The only real negative is that the push-twist-lock process is somewhat cumbersome. It can be challenge to get the lock to engage properly.
★☆☆☆☆ This lock is permanent. I don't want to have permanent adhesive on my laptop or other items. I want to have a lock I can use whenever I need. I wanted to return it but the seller refused it; I received an email from them saying that I keep the lock and can have only 30% refund instead of full refund. I am still thinking. I do not need this lock.
