★★★★★ Pros: Lightweight, compact, can run non-intense games, PINK Cons: Single usb port - no hdmi port, gets pretty hot, windows updates may cause the laptop to bluescreen, bloatware, different shade of pink in person than in promotional pictures. Overall Review: This is a nice, little laptop. I got this to replace the laptop I was using before which was an Asus ZX53VW-AH58. I had used the Asus laptop as both my work and play station, but after building my gaming PC back in December, the Asus laptop became a work station only electronic. The Asus laptop is pretty big and bulky, and since it was only meant to be used for work-related endeavors, I felt I needed to "upgrade". I knew I wanted a pink laptop. I know I probably would've been able to get something much cheaper had I opted out of getting a pink laptop, but here we are. Anyways, I knew I was gonna use this new laptop as my work station, but I wanted something that could do LIGHT gaming (talking about games like Minecraft bedrock edition, Bloons 6 TD, Sonic Adventure 2) for when I just want to lay in bed and don't feel like getting on my desktop - it runs those games nicely. This is not a gaming laptop. If you're looking for one, go somewhere else. In fact, if anyone is looking for a pink gaming laptop, you're better off getting something like Razer's Blade line of laptops, which sometimes comes out with a pink colored laptop. I say sometimes because it's a limited edition thing, so you'd have to be on the look out for it. It's also pretty light and thin - costs more, but it's to be expected considering the specs of that laptop vs this one. Now, onto this laptop itself. It's nice but gets pretty hot doing certain tasks, but nothing that being in a cold room or making sure it gets cool, wouldn't solve. It doesn't take forever to charge, at least not as of yet, but let's see if that changes during the next few months. There is also a lot of bloatware. One of them includes a free trial to whatever anti-virus software whose name I forgot, which is totally unnecessary. The anti-virus built into windows 10 is already good enough for the average user, you don't need anything else. I recommend removing bloatware from this laptop the moment you get to the homescreen because it'll save you a lot of time. A lot of this bloatware comes from windows itself (surprise, surprise) and it gets especially frustrating considering all the updates you have to go through once you get this thing running from windows installation. And the windows stuff gets bad. I was really surprised to see this laptop bluescreen after its 3rd usage. I was in a discord call and also put somethings to update in the background, which caused the laptop to freeze and when I couldn't turn it off, even with holding down the power button, if eventually unfroze into a bluescreen. Embarrassing to say the least, but I know it's not necessarily the issue with the laptop itself, it is a windows thing and all the updates it forces you to do if you want your device to stay optimized. I ran into a similar freezing issue when I was first updating the system. It took forever to boot up and forever to download one of the updates, but it got there eventually. I haven't had any real issues besides ones related to windows updates, if I do, then I will update my review and let you know. For right now though, I am saying yes to this laptop. It is everything I want in a small and portable machine. There are a few different versions of this laptop (this is MSI's Prestige line of laptops, to note), so I say find the one that best suits your needs. Your version of the laptop might not come with goodies like mine did, so keep an eye out to see whether or not it brings extras. This includes: a mouse, keychain, carrying case, and usb ethernet adapter. Also, the pink shade is different from the promotional pictures to getting the laptop in person, so take that as it is. A little bit deceiving, but it is still very much a pink laptop still. I want to note that I came here from an iJustine video.
