★☆☆☆☆ The product worked as described but NOWHERE in the description of the whole page does it want against it possibly breaking your screen. Please be advised this $3.99 product can cost you SEVERAL hundred $$$$. Extremely disappointed, as you can see in the picture, my screen cracked just at the border of the cover and now I have a vertical line through my screen. 100% that this is not worth your time, use a piece of sticker.
★☆☆☆☆ I purchased this product thinking it was the perfect product to give my family privacy when needed. Fast forward, 6 months later and my daughter's new MacBook goes black for no reason. We take it into the Apple store and Apple rep tells us it's because of this camera cover. When closing the MacBook, this product over time will cause a crack in the screen!!!...WTH???.....Good thing for us we had Apple Care which covered the repair for $99.00. Had we NOT had Apple Care, we would have had to pay $700!!!....threw all of them in the trash!!
★★★★☆ I bought this a while ago to use with my laptop and here are some things that I've noticed.Pro: easy to adhere; has not shown any signs of peeling off even months later; nice, clean design; flat enough that it doesn't interfere with laptop lid.Cons: not easy to tell if in open/closed position in the dark (not very major if you just check to see if the piece is elongated or not); a little too easy to slide open. The other day after spending some time using my laptop, I noticed the cover was slid open halfway without me realizing it. I would've preferred it to have a bit more resistance when sliding open.
