★★★★☆ Great value, works as advertised. Relatively easy to install, except (disadvantage 1) that you have to aim well and ensure it's aligned and then snap on the slider. No big deal, which brings me to the bigger disadvantage 2): nowadays many laptop cameras have a light meter next to the camera: this cover slider when opened, only has enough space for the camera, so the light detector will remain covered.
★★★★★ Knowing the profile of these, you should expect them to be flimsy. They are. You have to be careful with them. They will come apart easy if you are rough with them. The only way to avoid this would be making them out of metal and they would be more expensive. The one I habe come apart once or twice from being too aggressive with it. It's easy to put back together. I think these are wonderful because they are barely noticeable. I know they are flimsy because of what they are made out of but I've used this for over 8 months now and it's still in perfect shape. The stickiness is holding well also.
★★★★★ Picked the combination of slimmest profile I could find in the smallest denomination of units for the lowest price, including Amazon Prime. Not disappointed, rather pleased. It just surrounds the camera eye without the frame obstructing any of the apparatus or lid closure, it sticks fine with a few seconds of pressure, and it slides open/shut easily to provide the privacy I was seeking. I applied one to personal laptop and another to work laptop. In pressing to stick on work laptop, I initially popped off the slider, which snapped right back on without incident, and also skewed the horizontal alignment just slightly, but was able to guide that back into place with a thumbnail. Now to pick just four friends who might benefit from the spares. Would be nice little actually-useful tchotchkes for a group of coworkers, though not packaged individually...
