Was in need of a replacement battery since the original Razer battery had the infamous bulging battery issue. I was and still am hesitant going for an aftermarket unit like this, but have take a chance.Install was pretty good, the battery was 99% near perfect fitment. Only time will tell. Will be keeping a fire extinguisher near this laptop for the next year or so.Will update if this battery goes south.
The product works and fits well for my razer blade 15, 2018 model. The only problem is the metal parts where you put the screws in got bent during shipping. I had to use a tweezer to flatten them out again. Otherwise, everything works as intended. Also, careful with the two top edge screws on the backside near the hinge. They are screwed onto plastic that might break when you remove the laptop bottom cover.
Since Razer doesn't sell batteries, I figured this was pretty much my only option. The tabs didn't line up perfectly with the holes in the laptop, but it was easy enough to make it work. Upon first turning on the laptop after installation, I had something weird happen. The instructions were to drain the battery to 5%, and the laptop first powered on at 50%. I turned on a YouTube video and let it play for a while, only to come back and find the battery was now showing 85%!It continued to rise until 100% and then the laptop shut off. Reinstalling battery controller drivers did nothing. Plugging the laptop in kept it on, but it would turn off if it was unplugged. The battery percentage was reversed. It somehow managed to fix itself upon turning the laptop on the next day and now it seems to be working great.Other than those strange issues, I'm happy with the product and glad I was able to find an option to replace my puffy Razer battery.
